Beam42 (beam42.space) is an independent news desk. This page says what we collect, why we collect it, who processes it, how long we keep it, and how you can ask for deletion.
What we collect
Cloudflare Web Analytics. The site can load Cloudflare's cookieless analytics beacon. It does not use cookies. It does not record sessions, and it does not replay your visit. It counts pages in aggregate: which page was opened, the referring site, the country, and a general browser or device type. We do not receive a profile of you.
Hosting. Cloudflare hosts beam42.space. Serving a page means Cloudflare handles ordinary request details, such as IP address and browser, so the site can load and stay online. We do not use that for advertising or session recording.
On your device. This browser can save your theme choice (dark or light) and a last-visit marker. That stays on your device. We do not receive it.
Why
We use aggregate analytics to see which pages are read, so we can improve the desk. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it
Cloudflare hosts the site and runs Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Cloudflare processes that analytics data. We do not sell or rent personal information.
How long we keep it
Analytics stay with Cloudflare as aggregate counts. We do not keep a separate copy of visitor-level analytics, because we do not receive one.
Theme and last-visit data stay in your browser until you clear site data for beam42.space.
Deletion
To ask a privacy question, or to ask us to delete information tied to you, use the contact below. If we learn information belongs to a child under 13, we delete it.
Not for children under 13
Beam42 is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we discover that we have, we delete it.
